Batam Trip Day 2

Woke up very early @ 6am (batam time) for our breakfast buffet in the hotel…BTW batam time is 1hr slower than Singapore time. After our breakfast, we waited our tour guide @ the lobby at 8.30am to bring us around for our shopping trip.…hehe…..

1st Destination: BARELANG FISABILILAH BRIDGE, which the biggest bridges linking the tiny island of Tonton, Nipah to the larger setoko island, Galang island and Galang baru island. The first bridge connecting Batam to Tonton Island is impressive with its 38 metre high spans and 642 metres in length.
The weather here is very breezy and cooling…As u can see from our picts, the wind is damn strong ar...Look @ our hair….hehe….

2nd Destination: MAHA VIHARA DUTA MAITREYA LAUGHING BUDDHA TEMPLE, the Biggest Buddhist Temple at South East Asia. Covers an area of 4, 5 acres, it has several large halls and other functions.

3rd Destination: GOLDEN PRAWN 955 SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, built at wood and bamboo over the sea, Indonesia traditional serves a variety of local seafood dishes with the nice view of north eastern coast of Batam.
They serve chili crabs, prawns, gong gong, samba kangkong, soup, rice and fruits for dessert. Quite a variety rtg and all this is for in the package…. Hehe …..Yummy!!!!

4th Destination: BENGKONG DRY FOOD STUFF MARKET, where you may wish to purchase some local famous & cheaper dry food, such as Ikan Bilis, Udang kering, Kerupuk Belinjo and more.

Bought some crackers back to Singapore as they say that their crackers is nice and bought some for my sis too…hehe….

5th Destination: POLO OUTLETS, where you may wish to purchase clothes by American brand Polo Ralph Lauren, which were made in Jakarta and cheaper than in Singapore.
The POLO over the shop is local brand... We did not go down to shop as I had decided to buy the polo tee from the jetty Polo Ralph Lauren shop that is the international brand. I had bought one red Ralph Lauren polo tee for abt $43 dollars after 20% discount and 2 for Kenneth…. Cheap rtg….haha….

6th Destination: NAGOYA HILL SHOPPING MALL( Batam Vivo City ), where the biggest shopping mall in Batam and hosted the Matahari Department Store (famous department stall chain in Indonesia) as well as Hypermart supermarket located here, the Food Street in Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall offering you with many choice of food outlets, you can see A&W, KFC and many local food retail outlets.

Erm actually nothing much to shop here but I had bought some baby stuffs for my 2 precious nieces…..hehe..Quite a lot of baby stuffs here….kekeke….Me and Mom went to snack @ A&W…. Singapore used to have A&W but dunno for whatever reason, they had closed down… really miss their food especially their root beer float…. Yummy….Really hope they can reopen in Singapore again……

Erm dun really buy a lots of stuffs over there but just some foods, polo tees, babies stuffs… Shopping there not very nice… but their food and massage must try!!! For releasing of stress and to relax………We took @ a ferry back to Singapore and reach here abt 9.10pm… Its raining heavily when we are on our way back to Singapore. Lucky for us it does not rain while we are having our day trip in batam… Phew…Will go there again for massage….Thanks bro for organizing this family Trip!!!! Happy!! :) :) Oh before i forget, the tour guide recommended us to buy their homemade kueh Lapis (Layer Cake) from them. Its $23 for 1.5kg for original flavour... Very yummy and taty ands its value for money!!! Must Try!!!!!
